Our Founder, Kayla Brown, Was Named a 2026 Cary Magazine Mover & Shaker

We’re proud to share that My Roar Therapy founder Kayla Brown was recognized in Cary Magazine’s 2026 Movers & Shakers May issue.

Each year, Cary Magazine highlights local leaders across the Triangle who are making an impact in their industries and communities. For families who know Kayla and the heart behind My Roar Therapy, this recognition will probably feel pretty familiar.

From the beginning, My Roar Therapy was built differently on purpose.

We wanted a clinic where therapy felt human. Where parents didn’t feel rushed or talked over. Where neurodiversity-affirming care wasn’t treated like a trend. Where children could feel safe, supported, and genuinely known.

A place where siblings are always welcome. Where play matters. Where parents can ask questions without feeling judged. Where real life is allowed to exist alongside therapy.

That vision continues to shape every part of what we do today through pediatric speech therapy, occupational therapy, autism evaluations, feeding therapy, AAC support, literacy support, and family-centered care here in Apex, North Carolina.

The Cary Magazine feature touches on many of the things we talk about around the clinic every day. Families driving long distances to find care that feels right. The importance of listening before assuming. Building a practice that values relationships just as much as clinical excellence.

Most importantly, it reflects the families, children, therapists, and community members who have trusted My Roar Therapy along the way.

We’re grateful to Cary Magazine for the recognition, and even more grateful for the opportunity to support the incredible children and families who walk through our doors every day.
