Splashing Into the School Year with Our Roar & Explore: Splash Bash!

Last Saturday, we closed out summer the My Roar way—with sun, smiles, and a splash of joy! Our Roar & Explore: Splash Bash at Splashlantis in Pleasant Park (Apex) was one for the books.

From bubbles and popsicles to water play and warm community vibes, this event was the perfect “final splash” before the school year officially kicked off. And speaking of school—shoutout to all our Wake County and Durham families who started back this week. We’re cheering for you and praying over a school year full of growth, joy, and fearless authenticity!

What Went Down at the Splash Bash

We showed up ready to ROAR with:

  • Bubbles & popsicles for the kids (and the kids-at-heart)
  • Free parent handouts with speech & language tips for practicing at the park
  • Genuine connections with old friends and new families
  • And LOTS of laughter, splashes, and sunshine!

This wasn’t just an event for My Roar clients—it was for the whole village. Our Roar & Explore events are open to anyone and everyone who wants to build connection, community, and confidence in communication. Whether you’re new to speech therapy or just want a fun, low-pressure space to play and learn—we’ve got room for you.

And y’all really showed out! We had such a beautiful turnout, and the feedback was clear: more Splashlantis, please!

Couldn’t Make It This Time? No Worries!

Why We Do It

At My Roar, we’re big believers in compassion in action and growth with purpose. These events are more than just fun days in the sun—they’re a chance to connect, learn, and support families right where they are. And yes, even a playground or splash pad can be a powerful space for language development and communication practice.

We’re honored to create spaces where families feel seen, supported, and celebrated—no referral needed.

Adventure awaits—and so does your village at My Roar.
